BRIAN HOPPER, P.E.

Principal, Principal Emeritus (June 2010)

In 1980, Brian Hopper along with Tom Dennis founded the engineering firm Hopper & Dennis, now HDJ Design Group.

Brian has devoted his career to building the company into a premier engineering organization with a proud history in the Northwest community. He has thirty-eight years of design experience in residential and commercial site development, private and municipal roadways, and private and public utility infrastructure.

Beginning in June 2010, Brian will assume his new title of "Principal Emeritus", and start working part-time at HDJ. Brian will continue to manage his administrative projects, provide on-call consultation and begin to wind down as an active principal at HDJ.

Brian's immediate plans include: slowing down to "Smell the Roses", quality time with his wife Susan, projects in his workshop, travel and enjoying his grandchildren.

With thirty years as a founding principal of HDJ, Brian has helped to change the face of Vancouver since 1973!
